Navratri 2020

Navratri 2020 starts in India from today.

This year we are unable to go out and do our multiple Durga Puja pandal hopping, while being in the City of Kolkata, itself!

We are all welcoming the Goddess in our homes this year in the forms of our Divine Mother. Also, welcoming the Divine Sisters and Divine Daughters.

O goddess , thank you for making our life meaningful, colorful and preparing us to be useful for the living beings all around us.

Navratri 2020

Today I have come across a little girl of the age around eight, purchasing baby food from a local medicine shop.

With her small hands and cute little fingers she was pushing her coins and small notes over the desk of the medical shop, which were not even arranged in order.

Out of curiosity, I asked “What is that you want to buy?”

She replied, ‘Didi, my mother has got today a baby dog for me, he is my brother. As he is too small he is my kid also. I have come to buy baby food for him from my pocket money!’

Indeed, this child made me realise,

”या देवी सर्वभूतेषु मातृ-रूपेण संस्थिता। नमस्तस्यै नमस्तस्यै नमस्तस्यै नमो नमः॥”

”To that goddess who embodies in all beings as a Mother.
Salutations, salutations, salutations to Thee again and again.”
